Another trip into the Silver Tower

Another trip into the Silver Tower

Hi everyone,

I know it’s been a while again since I last posted but them’s the brakes I guess! So what have I been up to in the last few weeks?

One more trip into the Silver Tower…

So I have finally completed the miniatures for Warhammer Quest: The Silver Tower! This includes this months miniatures which are some of the additional exotic adversaries you can play against! I fully intend to do a full picture of the whole painted boxed set for my next post, but here are the final few miniatures I completed this week.

First off the Flamers of Tzeentch (sorry for the poor quality photo!)

Then the Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch

Finally the Exalted Horror of Tzeentch

I’m really proud to have finally finished all the miniatures for the boxed set so I can proudly play the game in the future with everything painted. I do have some more hero models I can get painted up for the future but I think they will be on the back burner for a while as I set my sights on my next painting project…

Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress

Yes! Warhammer Quest again! This time set in the Warhammer 40k universe but an excellent game nonetheless! As my friend Phil and I are close to completing Silver Tower (for the first time anyway!) we are looking forward to having a play of Blackstone Fortress too. I have played one or two games so far and really enjoyed it, however I want to get some of the miniatures painted. I am really looking forward to this but it is also a daunting prospect to have to start when there are so many models to start on.

I think the best way will be to batch paint, much like I have with Silver Tower. I also picked up the Dreaded Ambull expansion (and have seen the promos for the Traitor Generals expansion too!) so I want to get cracking as soon as possible! I hope to spray some of the models this weekend and get started so wish me luck!

A bit of time for gaming…

So over the last few weeks/months I have also found some time to play some Games Workshop computer games. The main one I have been playing is Total War: Warhammer with a bit of Blood Bowl 2 on the side.

Total War: Warhammer is a fantastic game and a great addition to the series of games. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it and taking a trip back into the Old World which is such a great setting for this style of game. It almost takes me back to the days of Warhammer: Dark Omen and the like and very much my childhood being brought up on the old editions of Warhammer. It is a great game and if you can pick it up along with the DLC (and Total War: Warhammer 2 if you can!) in a Steam sale I would highly recommend it.

I also managed to pick up the legendary edition of Blood Bowl 2 in a Playstation Store sale for very cheap and that is a great game too! For me it is the perfect way to play and learn the miniature game as I haven’y played that too much and so many of the guys at my local club are experts (Justin who runs our Blood Bowl League won the PS4 Online tournament this year against thousands of opponents!).

If you can pick it up in a sale, I would highly recommend it! Not worth the £40 non sale price but I managed to pick it up for £10 in a playstation sale so well worth that!

That’s all for now…

So I think that will do for today. I look forward to getting some pictures up of the whole Silver Tower box painted up together and showing off the collection at last but for now, stay Miniature Minded!
